{"id":121896,"date":"2024-12-17T11:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-12-17T10:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.immo-invest.ch\/?p=121896"},"modified":"2024-12-17T09:07:09","modified_gmt":"2024-12-17T08:07:09","slug":"baustoffanbieter-plant-boersengang-in-den-usa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stage.immo-invest.ch\/en\/baustoffanbieter-plant-boersengang-in-den-usa\/","title":{"rendered":"Building materials supplier plans IPO in the USA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"bodytext wp-block-paragraph\">Building materials producer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.holcim.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Holcim<\/a>, headquartered in Zug, will fully spin off its branch in the United States and list on the New York Stock Exchange as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.holcim.us\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Holcim United States<\/a>, according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.holcim.com\/sites\/holcim\/files\/docs\/20241206_press_holcim_spin-off_north_america_progress_de.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">press release<\/a>. Holcim in the USA is headquartered in Chicago, but also has a presence in 350 locations in 43 states and employs 7,000 people in the USA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"bodytext wp-block-paragraph\">According to the press release, Holcim is making progress with the planned complete spin-off of its North American business. The North American business is to be listed on the New York Stock Exchange as a &ldquo;domestic issuer&rdquo; in accordance with SEC regulations, report under US rules and seek inclusion in relevant US stock indices. An additional listing on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.six-group.com\/de\/products-services\/the-swiss-stock-exchange.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SIX<\/a> Swiss Exchange is planned in order to meet the needs of European investors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"bodytext wp-block-paragraph\">The planned spin-off is subject to shareholder approval at Holcim&rsquo;s Annual General Meeting on 14 May 2025, with a positive resolution expected to be implemented by the end of the first half of 2025, according to Holcim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"bodytext wp-block-paragraph\">Holcim is a global provider of construction solutions with sales of CHF 27 billion in 2023 and around 63,000 employees. The company says it offers a wide range of advanced solutions, from the sustainable building materials ECOPact and ECOPlanet to the recycling technology ECOCycle and modern roofing and insulation systems from its subsidiary <a href=\"https:\/\/www.holcimelevate.com\/dach-de\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Elevate<\/a> in Zaventem, Belgium.<\/p>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The building materials producer Holcim wants to fully spin off its operations in the USA.
