The keys were handed over by actress Salom&eacute; Jantz in the role of Queen Agnes of Hungary, the KSB <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kantonsspitalbaden.ch\/news\/schluesseluebergabe-neubau\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">announced<\/a> in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kantonsspitalbaden.ch\/news\/schluesseluebergabe-neubau\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">press release<\/a>. The Habsburg queen donated a hospital to the town of Baden in 1349 and is the namesake of the current construction project.<\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\">The new building was realised by a team from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ghisleni.ch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ghisleni Partner AG<\/a> under the leadership of owners Stefano and Maurizio Ghisleni. &ldquo;By using a general planner, we were able to continuously optimise the project and incorporate the latest findings,&rdquo; KSB CEO Adrian Schmitter is quoted as saying in the press release. &ldquo;This means that our hospital will not be ten years old when it opens, but will be at the cutting edge of medical and technical development.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\">KSB has invested a total of 600 million Swiss francs in the eight-storey building. The new building, equipped with state-of-the-art medical and building technology, is due to open on 25 February.
