The focus is no longer solely on costs, but increasingly on issues of sustainability, fair working conditions and resource and climate protection. As a result, the procurement procedure is shifting from a pure price competition to a quality competition. A paradigm shift with opportunities, but also challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The key question here is how sustainability criteria can be integrated into procurement processes in an objective, transparent and practicable manner<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Contents and functions of the toolbox<br><\/strong>The sustainability toolbox provides answers to precisely this question. It is web-based, trilingual and structured in such a way that it provides awarding authorities with concrete tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n\n<li>Catalogue of eleven award criteria covering topics such as materials management, climate targets and fair working conditions<\/li>\n\n\n\n\n\n<li>Text modules, forms and evaluation tables for direct use in tenders<\/li>\n\n\n\n\n\n<li>Legal and practical explanations for the safe application of the criteria<\/li>\n\n\n\n\n\n<li>Practical examples that provide guidance in the tendering process<\/li>\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>More clarity and commitment<br><\/strong>The tool creates a common understanding between <span class=\"glossaryLink\" aria-describedby=\"tt\" data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;Contracting&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;Gesamt&uuml;bernahme von Projektierung, Erstellung, Betrieb, Unterhalt und Finanzierung eines Bau- oder Anlageteils durch einen Unternehmer und dessen Zurverf&uuml;gungstellung gegen Entgelt (z.B. Energie-Contracting)&lt;\/div&gt;\" data-mobile-support=\"0\" data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]' tabindex=\"0\" role=\"link\">contracting<\/span> authorities and subcontractors by formulating criteria in a measurable and verifiable way. This also makes participation in tenders more attractive for SMEs, as the framework conditions are clearer and fairer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The overarching goal is to further develop tendering practice in Switzerland in such a way that quality, sustainability and <span class=\"glossaryLink\" aria-describedby=\"tt\" data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;Innovation&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;Innovation in der heutigen Immobilienwelt bedeutet vor allem Digitalisierung von Prozessen. Zum Beispiel das Eliminieren von Tausenden von Excel-Bl&auml;ttern f&uuml;r Portfolio- und Asset-Manager oder das Erstellen einer Anwendung (App) f&uuml;r alle Formalit&auml;ten rund um die Beziehung zwischen Immobilieneigent&uuml;mern, - verwaltung und -mietern.&lt;\/div&gt;\" data-mobile-support=\"0\" data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]' tabindex=\"0\" role=\"link\">innovation<\/span> are honoured. Instead of simply competing for the lowest price, as is the case today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Significance for the sector<br><\/strong>The sustainability toolbox makes it possible to standardise how sustainable criteria can be incorporated into construction projects. This not only strengthens the awarding authorities, but also creates trust among clients and companies.
