The Arbon-based company, which specialises in interior doors made of wood, glass and metal, has taken over the Portuguese door manufacturer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cicomol.pt\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cicomol<\/a> with effect from 15 October, Arbonia <a href=\"https:\/\/mailing-ircockpit.eqs.com\/crm-mailing\/5c439781-ea7c-11e8-902f-2c44fd856d8c\/2c8a3608-c428-46ce-8d4e-489228080ff7\/8021376c-559b-4647-833e-340a7cf5290c\/Arbonia_Arbonia%20akquiriert%20die%20portugiesische%20Cicomol%20und%20den%20deutschen%20Hersteller%20f%C3%BCr%20Metallzargen_Medienmitteilung_16.10.2025.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">announced<\/a> in a <a href=\"https:\/\/mailing-ircockpit.eqs.com\/crm-mailing\/5c439781-ea7c-11e8-902f-2c44fd856d8c\/2c8a3608-c428-46ce-8d4e-489228080ff7\/8021376c-559b-4647-833e-340a7cf5290c\/Arbonia_Arbonia%20akquiriert%20die%20portugiesische%20Cicomol%20und%20den%20deutschen%20Hersteller%20f%C3%BCr%20Metallzargen_Medienmitteilung_16.10.2025.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">press release<\/a>. On 9 October, Arbonia also completed the takeover of the German specialists for special metal frames from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rzb-zargen.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">R&uuml;thener Zargenbau GmbH &amp; CoKG<\/a>. Last year, the two companies generated a combined turnover of around 20 million euros.<\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\">Arbonia expects the takeover of Cicomol SA, the market leader in Portugal, to strengthen its presence in the specialised trade in Portugal and to generate sales synergies in Spain, Portugal and France. The acquisition of R&uuml;thener Zargenbau, in turn, is intended to close a gap in Arbonia&rsquo;s portfolio. To date, the international company has largely purchased its metal frames externally. According to Arbonia, both acquisitions will also strengthen margins and increase value.<\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\">The transactions include the takeover of around 130 employees from Cicomol and almost 40 employees from R&uuml;thener Zargenbau.
