The Duisburg-based group, which operates throughout Europe, specialises in building materials, insulating materials and services for the building envelope. With this acquisition, Holcim intends to expand its own portfolio with Xella&rsquo;s complementary offering, the Zug-based building materials group explained in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.holcim.com\/sites\/holcim\/files\/docs\/20251020-media-acquisition-holcim-xella-de.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">press release<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\">&ldquo;This strategic acquisition is a milestone in our vision to be the leading partner for sustainable construction and accelerates the expansion of our high value-added Building Solutions business in line with our NextGen Growth 2030 strategy,&rdquo; Holcim CEO Miljan Gutovic is quoted as saying. &ldquo;By complementing our offering in the highly attractive market for wall solutions with a volume of more than 12 billion euros, Xella will open up cross-selling and system sales opportunities for us.&rdquo; The transaction value is estimated at 1.85 billion euros in the press release.
