The two St.Gallen companies want to develop an area of 50,000 square metres here for offices, commerce and industry with up to 600 workplaces.<\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\">St.Gallen&rsquo;s public utility company will supply the site with energy for heating and cooling. According to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stadt.sg.ch\/news\/stsg_medienmitteilungen\/2025\/11\/st-galler-stadtwerke-realisieren-emissionsarme-energieversorgung.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">press release<\/a>, they are relying on a combined energy supply with a wood pellet boiler and a reversible air\/water heat pump. The pellet heating system will primarily be used in the winter months. The first heat supply is scheduled for winter 2026\/2027.<\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\">The Sitter Valley is also to be equipped with photovoltaic systems.
