According to the release, profit remained steady at 149 million Swiss francs, in line with the previous year, whilst turnover fell by 9 per cent to 1.062 billion Swiss francs (previous year: 1.164 billion Swiss francs). Investments increased from CHF 212 million to CHF 226 million compared with the previous year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\">IWB counts a new district heating network in Frick AG, the start of construction of the pipeline network and heating plant in Reinach BL, and the commissioning of a wood pellet plant at the Bahnhof heating plant among last year&rsquo;s successful projects. In addition, IWB has drawn up its Strategy 2026. On this basis, the Basel-based energy supplier aims to become &ldquo;more decentralised, digital and even more climate-friendly&rdquo;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\">In 2025, IWB sold a total of 928 gigawatt-hours of district heating, 8 per cent more than in the previous year. Gas sales fell by 5 per cent to 1,618 gigawatt hours, whilst electricity sales dropped by 14 per cent to 1,067 gigawatt hours. IWB cites &ldquo;customer losses in the free market&rdquo; as the reason for this.
