Both companies are holdings of the Zurich-based energy provider <a href=\"https:\/\/www.energie360.ch\/de\/unternehmen\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Energie 360&deg;<\/a>. According to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.energie360.ch\/de\/energie-360\/medieninformationen\/medienmitteilungen\/swisschargech-und-protoscar-fusionieren\/?no_cache=1&amp;uid=85\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">press release<\/a> from Energie 360&deg;, this merger will enable the charging network to be expanded even faster and the electrification of residential properties and company fleets to be driven forward. This will create a &ldquo;comprehensive competence centre for Swiss e-mobility&rdquo;: Swisscharge.ch has over 95,000 users and over 2600 public charging points and Protoscar has &ldquo;implementation-related consulting know-how&rdquo;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\">&ldquo;We are thus creating the ideal conditions for the accelerated expansion of the reliable, user-friendly and efficient national charging infrastructure,&rdquo; Rami Syv&auml;ri, head of mobility at Energie 360&deg;, is quoted as saying. &ldquo;This forms the basis for the progressive electrification of Swiss mobility.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\">The Protoscar <span class=\"glossaryLink\" aria-describedby=\"tt\" data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;Brand&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;Engl. f&uuml;r Marke&lt;\/div&gt;\" data-mobile-support=\"0\" data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]' tabindex=\"0\" role=\"link\">brand<\/span> name will be preserved. The previous shareholder <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tcs.ch\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Touring Club Schweiz<\/a> will retain a stake in the merged company and reportedly supports the growth plans.
