As a first step, the association of the Swiss solar energy industry is presenting a transitional document for this purpose. The document &ldquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.swissolar.ch\/01_wissen\/anlangenbetrieb\/brandschutz\/231026_swissolar_ubergangsdokument_brandschutz-fur-pv-anlagen-an-fassaden-de_v1-1-.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Planning and fire protection certification of rear-ventilated PV fa&ccedil;ades<\/a>&rdquo; was developed in collaboration with the Association of Cantonal Fire Insurers<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bsvonline.ch\/de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">(VKF<\/a>), the <a href=\"https:\/\/gvb.ch\/de.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bern<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gvz.ch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Zurich<\/a> building insurance companies and a number of photovoltaic and fire protection experts, Swissolar explains in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swissolar.ch\/de\/news\/detail\/uebergangsdokument-fuer-planung-und-brandschutznachweis-von-hinterluefteten-photovoltaik-fassaden-49745\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">press release<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\">The transitional document shows the conditions under which solar fa&ccedil;ades can be installed for mid-rise and high-rise buildings without a property-specific fire test. Swissolar explains that an argumentative verification procedure is now being used. It incorporates empirical values that could be derived from previous fire tests.<\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\">This interim document is intended to create planning certainty for solar fa&ccedil;ades until a state of the art paper (STP) is available.
