According to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stadt-zuerich.ch\/dib\/de\/index\/das_departement\/medienmitteilungen\/mitteilung1\/2024\/02\/stadtrat-beantragt-rahmenkredit-von-300-millionen-franken-fuer-erneuerbare-energieproduktionsanlagen.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">press release<\/a>, the city council is therefore proposing a framework credit of 300 million Swiss francs. Among other things, this is intended to finance the expansion of existing hydropower plants and the re-licensing of hydropower plants, alpine photovoltaic plants and wind farms. The framework credit should also enable the city to invest in companies that plan, build or operate renewable energy plants.<\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\">It should also be possible to use the funds for investments by the city of Zurich&rsquo;s energy supplier <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ewz.ch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ewz<\/a> in the expansion of renewable energies abroad.
