New garden pool at Tägi opens on 27 May

With the end of the first construction phase, the garden pool in the Tägi leisure, sports and event centre in Wettingen will open on Saturday, 27 May, according to a media release. Until then, work on the first stage of the garden pool renovation will continue. The opening of the pool will also mark the start of the so-called event summer at Tägi. An obstacle race is being organised for Saturday, 3 June, and the Schwiizergoofe Hello Family Tour concert is scheduled for the following Sunday. Further events are announced in the Tägi calendar.

According to the announcement, the new garden pool offers a number of new or renovated attractions. The non-swimmer pool is made of chrome steel. Various water play elements have also been installed. A current channel, bubble loungers, a bubble area and a water mushroom will provide fun and relaxation.

“The rainy weather in the past weeks was a big challenge for everyone on the construction site,” Urs Kamberger, CEO of Tägi AG, is quoted as saying in the press release. “Some work requires dry weather, which is why we had to tighten the schedule. Thanks to the enormous commitment of everyone involved, we will be able to open on time on 27 May.” Due to the increase in the attractiveness of the garden pool, the rise in energy costs and inflation, prices at Tägi will be slightly adjusted as of 27 May, the statement says. Until 31 May, however, there will be an early bird discount of 10 per cent on season subscriptions for the garden pool.

After the end of the season, the second and final stage of the renovation will start in September. The entire construction work is scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2024. The new pool will be inaugurated as part of the Tägi’s 50th anniversary celebrations from 7 to 9 June 2024.
