Known as the home of numerous international organisations and a centre for global cooperation, Geneva has confirmed its status as a leading city for global dialogue and development. With an impressive infrastructure and a highly developed research and development scene, the city continually attracts multinational companies and international conferences.

Geneva has taken an important step towards advancing energy-efficient building renovation. From 1 June 2024, new subsidies will be available to property owners to encourage them to make their buildings more energy-efficient and convert them to renewable energy. Increased subsidies and tailored approaches for different types of property will encourage energy efficiency measures in Geneva.

Die Hächler AG Umbau und Renovation führt jedes Jahr wichtige Erhaltungsarbeiten am Amphitheater Vindonissa in Windisch durch. Unter der Leitung von Reto Schwitter wird dabei insbesondere die Instandhaltung der Fugen vorgenommen, um die historische Bausubstanz zu schützen.

Das Halter-Tochterunternehmen Integral design-build hat die neuen Arbeitsräume der Halter Gruppe in Bern fertiggestellt. Der Umbau dauerte rund sechs Monate. Die Zahl der Halter-Arbeitsplätze wurde von 40 auf 58 erhöht.

On July 12, 2024, the winners of the fourth "Aerogel Architecture Award" were announced on the Empa campus. Six projects in the categories "Realized Solutions" and "Student Projects" showcased impressive applications of aerogel materials in construction and convinced the jury with their efficiency and creativity.
